Downtown Lynchburg offers a wide variety of unique local restaurants with something for everyone! All of the restaurants listed are walkable from downtown hotels except for The Cav which is a short drive up Rivermont Avenue.

Iconic Lynchburg

The Cavalier "The Cav"

"The Cav" is a long-time Lynchburg staple. A no-frills, dive-bar, lunch spot with license plates covering the celling and names carved into the tables. Home to the best ranch you'll ever have, paired with their signature seasoned fries, burgers and chilled glass mugs, it's a Lynchburg must. The Cav is a cash-only establishment, but ATM is available inside.

The T-Room is a Lynchburg landmark. Lynchburg 's oldest dining establishment where they serve “1,500 people, 15 at a time.” The T-Room is the go-to spot for late-night food.  Order a "cheesy all the way" to look like a local!

No 7. Rooftop Bar

Perched high above the Bluffwalk and the James River (and just above Fratelli's), No. 7 Rooftop Bar offers spectacular views of the city.

Located on the Bluffwalk at the bottom of the Parkview condos, Fratelli is a great option for Italian in downtown Lynchburg.

My Dog Duke's Diner

My Dog Duke’s Diner offers fun food and a welcoming atmosphere in a beautifully restored building in Downtown Lynchburg. Raising the standard for local dining, Duke’s offers breakfast, specialty coffee, delicious cocktails, a unique lunch menu, and many tempting entrées.

 Starr Hill Brewery is an independent, regional craft brewery founded in Charlottesville, Virginia. Star Hill on Main Street in Lynchburg has become a staple in the Downtown Lynchburg community. The good vibes are endless inside of this beautifully restored building on Main Street. Swing by for some delicious brews that will keep you coming back again and again!
